Job Description

I am recruiting for a technical individual to fulfil the role for of systems administrator on a contract basis for my client based in prime location Birmingham you will be responsible for working within the team to assist with current project workload. These projects will be involved around implementation\migration to O365 as well as migration to new virtualization hardware.

You will need to have strong IT skills and experience in Infrastructure both on-physical hardware and cloud-based solutions (Microsoft Azure, (essential) and AWS, (bonus points)).

(Please note that for this role you have the option of office based and work from home.  It would be preferred though if the successful candidate could work some days within the office for the first week or so to get up to speed with the role itself)

Core responsibilities

  • Implementation of new Virtualisation Hardware including SAN and Compute infrastructure.
  • Build and migrate virtual machines using Hyper-V
  • Automation of virtual machine deployments.
  • Working in an infrastructure as code framework to automate build process
  • Office 365 administration and integration
  • Building Monitoring tools

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience
  • Proficiency and working knowledge of: Office 365, Single Sign On via ADFS/Azure AD, Virtualization (Hyper-V), Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g. Systems, Protocols, Directory Services)
  • Skilled in automation using PowerShell
