Woodrow Mercer Finance is a team of experienced financial recruiters (each 10 years+) working with a group of qualified Finance Directors with 3 offices across the UK. We offer financial advisory services and the recruitment of finance staff from ledger clerks to Finance Directors and we do this for our client base of businesses both large and small which are going through some kind of change.

Depending on your level of recruitment experience you will take charge of a group of existing clients as their main point of contact (along side a Director to begin with if you are still training).
Face to face, long term relationship building is essential to our approach so speaking to these clients and arranging introductory meetings onsite will be high on your agenda.
You will also be expected to build new relationships with potential clients, tracking down who is recruiting and finding the 'warmest' way to introduce yourself (our own networks will be useful to you here).
You will spend a significant amount of time speaking to our existing candidate network and seeking out 'passive' candidates to represent, also meeting them face to face. LinkedIn, traditional job board adverts and referrals from your network will be your main sources although new ideas are always welcome.
We will train you to offer career advice with substance based on the knowledge of our senior recruiters and with the insights of our in-house Finance Directors. This will help you provide genuinely helpful expertise to candidates and clients which will also make you stand out amongst competitors.

We are recruiting for someone who has existing recruitment experience. We don't mind if it's outside of finance but you must have at least 1-2 years' experience working for an agency.
Character is our most important criteria. You will be a down to earth, intelligent, approachable and driven individual who takes pride in their work. You will be receptive to constructive feedback as part of your ongoing development. You must be a strong sales person who looks for evidence to back up your recommendations rather than leaning on something fabricated. You will be an adaptable individual and feel at home when solving fast moving, complex problems.
Finally, our industry is extremely competitive and so resilience is essential. If you get knocked down, you get back up again.
