Job Description

Senior Delivery Partner

Can be based anywhere in the UK...

Our Client are a dedicated team of healthcare consultants who have worked in the NHS and now find ourselves in a privileged position where we can use our passion, expertise and experience to help the NHS improve performance.

Based right across the UK & Ireland we have earnt a reputation as a unique, reliable and specialist consultancy who are experts in helping NHS organisations deliver their improvements and enabling behavioural change to be truly embedded to make a difference to the service.

Ensuring the patient remains at the heart of all service changes/improvement; Our Client uses a combination of advanced analytics and behavioural change techniques to support quality and performance improvements across health and social care providers

We are now looking to appoint a Senior Delivery Partner to directly support our Chief Operating Officer in the management and delivery of multiple client projects and retained engagements right across the UK.

What does the role entail…

The Senior Delivery Partner will be accountable for the day to day delivery of all client engagements. This will be a client facing role involving extensive travel to provide coverage and relationship management across our client projects.

A bit about Our Client…

Our Client are a growing company and we believe our current reputation coupled with an increased demand from our clients will allow us to triple in size over the next three years - providing even more specialist and dedicated support to the NHS.

What do Our Client believe?

The NHS has all the data, information and intelligence it needs…

The NHS knows how to fix all its problems…

All the 'management consultancy support' over the past 25 years, or so, has not really added much value…

The people who have made the real changes are the clinical teams who have been trained to think innovatively and given the time, support and capacity to deliver their improvements

The NHS doesn't need anymore…

'Closed door / low engagement' diagnostic reviews which re-present the NHS's own data and re-iterate all the known problems…

'Door stopping' reports of regurgitated, non-engaged, action plans with convoluted programme governance structures…

More training in improvement techniques which took time away from front line staff…

More technology applications which just present NHS data in an unconnected and benign manner…

We know the real issues are…

Front line teams struggling to finding the time to engage in large improvement projects whilst looking after patients…

NHS professionals having the confidence to contribute their small, but highly significant improvement initiative, into the big project machine…

Knowing that the real answer lay in communicating across the whole system but not having the time to reach out…

Knowing that to build influential and productive relationships across the health and social care system was hard and time consuming…

SO OUR CLIENT WAS CREATED TO…

Build long term, meaningful, partnerships with NHS organisations… where we would deliver continued, tailored, support (and if we deliver value then reward us, but if we don't then we would walk away as friends) …

Work with change leaders every day to produce real time diagnosis, real time actions, real time execution, real time analysis, real time delivery: by coaching and training teams through the improvement journey…

Become 'a part of the NHS team' (whilst remaining objective) so that we know the organisations business so well that we are always on hand, immediately, to help …

Actually, be a group of people who had a real empathy with the NHS; a team which actually added value to the NHS; for a fair price… we would be very proud if we achieved that…

What are we looking for from you?

First and foremost, you need to be passionate about the NHS;

Enough Management Consultancy experience to know how a Consultancy works and how to manage large and complex programmes of work within tight deadlines.

Enough NHS experience to say you've "been there, done that and got the t-shirt";

You will be a self-starter, a confident person who enjoys interacting with new people and building relationships from "ward to board" - you'll need to be a strong communicator!

"Improvement" experience -you will need examples of making changes in the NHS to deliver improved performance and getting people to follow you by empowering others to make a difference too;

Adaptable - we want people who want to have variety in their work, enjoy problem solving and who want to make a difference by working very hard for our clients. You'll need to be able to cope with unpredictability and change.

We want people who are happy to be client facing and understand the level of travel and commitment that is required to simultaneously support multiple clients across the health service

What will we give you in return?

The opportunity to work with brilliant teams across a wide range of health and social care systems;

You will be at the cutting edge of improvement work and innovation in the NHS;

Flexibility both in terms of the type of work but also the way you can approach each issue, you'll have the ability to do a good job and see a project through, you'll be able to "just do it" instead of being tied up (or down) with processes and paper work;

Above all…

Our Client are a business who look after each other and we have a brilliant team atmosphere - we're spread all over the UK; but you will find a group of supportive, collaborative and dedicated people working here who all have a desire to do what's best for the NHS.
