Job Description

My client a leading manufacturing business based in Castleford is looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Assistant on a permanent basis. This is a standalone role and you will have the opportunity to take full ownership.

You will be responsible for;

  • Maintain purchase ledger through the posting of invoices, credit notes and payments
  • Working with the FC, ensuring compliance with company policy on invoice and payment authorisation
  • Provision of weekly aged creditor analysis
  • Deal with inbound supplier queries
  • Issue supplier remittance advices
  • Initiate all supplier payments for approval by CEO
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations as they come into the business


  • Must have at least five years experience of working within Purchase Ledger
  • Must be self motivated and be able to prioritise own workload
  • Must be able to develop relationships with internal stakeholders

Remuneration package:

  • Salary £20,000 - £25,000
  • 40 hours
  • Pension
