Job Description

My client a leading multi national business based in East Leeds are looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Assistant on a permanent basis.

You will work as part of a team and be responsible for;

  • Ensuring invoices and purchase orders are appropriately authorised
  • Coding invoices with nominal code and cost centre and posting invoices onto the purchase ledger
  • Processing invoices through the purchase ordering processing system, ensuring that goods have been received and following up on any discrepancies
  • Generating purchase ledger payment run
  • Reconcile invoices to supplier statement and investigating any differences
  • Maintain and review of aged creditors list
  • Filing of purchase invoices
  • Ensuring invoice and payment files and policies and procedures are complete and kept up-to-date
  • Answering supplier telephone queries
  • Any other task consistent with Purchase Ledger as required by the Financial Controller

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of Sage 200 preferred
  • Knowledge of Excel
  • Previous experience in a similar role
