Job Description

Woodrow Mercer are currently recruiting for a very exciting role, and looking to engage with senior Training Facilitators with relevant experience to support a global charity currently operating across 80 countries globally.

The organisation has a Director for each of its countries, and is currently establishing a new induction programme to support new and recently appointed Directors who will be starting very challenging roles. The programme will have very high visibility and will be designed to be innovative and effective in a practical way.

Utilising a blended approach the programme aims to equip the new Directors with the skills and knowledge that they will require to successfully fulfil their role. With this in mind the post holder will be involved with:

  • Online Pre-work for participants
  • Initial 4 day face to face workshop (covering Protocol and the role of the Director, insights from senior management, financial management, risk identification & management, partnerships and team management)
  • 8 virtual coaching sessions for each participant
  • Follow up face to face workshops (featuring deep dive on key topics, review of experience in the last 6 months and development of future strategies)

In order to apply for this position you be able to display the following:

  • 10 - 15 years' experience in senior corporate leadership positions in a global organisation
  • Familiarity and experience with the management and operational challenges involved in leading country operations is ideal
  • Experience of working with NGO's / Charities / Not for profit organisations
  • Proven experience in facilitation, coaching and mentoring in the areas of Leadership / Behavioural Skills, robust understanding of Management Development and Leadership Development and be able to support the production of curriculum
  • Experience of dealing with senior groups and the ability to bring a balance of challenge and insight into the workshop
  • Must have experience of gained in a multi-cultural and diverse organisation
  • Proven experience of effective facilitation and coaching C Suite leaders
  • Experience of playing a lead facilitation role across different programmes
