Job Title: Interim Payroll Manager

Reference: 15726

Job description: We are recruiting for an Interim Payroll Manager to join a reputable business based in Birmingham on a permanent basis.

Your main duties consist of the following:

  • Leading a team of 5 payroll professional to deliver accurate and timely payroll services
  • Providing weekly, monthly and 4 weekly payroll for circa 9,500 employees across the U.K and internationally
  • Planning and prioritising the Payroll teams workload to ensure delivery of the work in accordance with agreed SLAs
  • Acting as a single point of escalation for general client questions
  • Assisting the HR Operations Lead with the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures
  • Developing influential relationships and networks of contacts

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • At least 2 years people management experience
  • Experienced payroll lead, with a high-volume payroll exposure, ideally having operated within a shared service environment
  • Extensive knowledge of UK PAYE and NIC legislation
  • SAP Payroll experience (preferred)
