Job Description

Interim Financial Reporting Manager
£60,000 - £70,000
Full time - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

The Business

My client is a leading corporate services business working with some of the most well-known brands across the globe.

This business has a reputation for innovation and canny transformation having emerged as a successful player in an industry which has undergone significant upheaval in the face of major technological disruption.

Over the last 10 years, some of their biggest competitors went to the wall but this business faced up to some harsh truths and planned a way to survive and thrive.

We're talking Prince or Madonna-like levels of re-invention.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller in Leeds your role will cover both 'business as usual' reporting for this high-profile division as well as taking the lead on a small business transformation project.

The project will see you getting out into the business, speaking to senior operational figures, head office contacts and senior finance professionals across the group, to roll out reporting changes in line with FRS16.

Day to day you will head all internal, statutory and board level reporting with support from your team. Continuous improvement in each of these areas will be genuinely well received.

Now, the right kind of candidate for this business might not be brimming with excitement after reading that job overview, but we all know that it's the people you work with who make a role enjoyable and rewarding (or not).

This business is full of good people.

The Candidate

This role does require 'technical' training in your work experience to date but we are not looking for a human FRS textbook.

In fact, this role is more about your ability to analyse, interpret and influence, as well as manage and develop a small team of bright and committed junior finance staff.

Strong people and communications skills are non-negotiable as the business is full of hard working, well natured and upbeat individuals.

Practice training somewhere in your background would be ideal although if you have a background in technical reporting within industry then that's just as good.

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is a must.

If you are interested in applying please send your CV with a contact number and details of your desired remuneration.
