Interim Financial Controller
£275 - 375 per day
Full time - 3-6 month contract
My client is a SME construction business operating a joint venture on multiple large-scale projects.
Based in Leeds the business requires an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support the Finance Director and the rest of the senior management team whilst a permanent person is recruited.
Reporting to the Finance Director you will manage the small accounts team and their day to day activities.
Your focus is to provide accurate cash flow forecasts, balancing payments due according to each project's development and outgoing payments to suppliers and contractors. You will also be responsible for managing cashflow by developing a short and long term plan.
Providing monthly accounts, improving senior level reporting and supplier management are also key aspects to the role.
The successful candidate will ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience and an established professional interim contractor.
You must also have significant experience operating in the construction industry ideally within a SME environment at Financial Controller level.
Extensive experience forecasting and managing tight cashflow positions is non-negotiable.
Once a permanent candidate has been identified (this process is currently underway) you will hand over to the successful individual after their expected 3 month notice period.
