I am working with a higher education institute who are looking for 4x Instructional Designers to come on board for a 6-month FTC as soon as possible.
The education institute I am working with are currently digitising all of their learning content to make it more accessible moving forward. This is something that a lot of organisations in the higher ed space are looking to do given the pandemic that has had an impact on students being able to get to university and the lectures. Given the number of courses that are looking to be moving into the online space, there is a lot that needs to be conducted and this is a great opportunity for a designer to embed themselves within the digital transformation of an educational institute.
The purpose of the role is to liaise with the academics in the university (and/or SME's) to help create innovative and engaging content for the university. You will be reporting into the project co-ordinator for the FTC and you need a solid understanding of pedagogy to be able to in-put best practice and approaches to ensure that the courses adhere to requirements and expectations whilst still being innovative and engaging. A thorough understanding of Instructional Design principals is needed to advise on approaches and you must have strong writing skills to look at scripts and storyboards ensuring quality levels are met.
