Job Description

Group Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly consolidation and Group consolidated management accounts
  • Manage, collate and prepare the weekly rolling EBITDA forecasts
  • Review and question the monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements for all entities across the Group
  • Prepare consolidated half-yearly and annual financial statements and supporting notes as well as the statutory accounts for the UK entities
  • Liaise with auditors and assist in managing the audit process to ensure it is effective and efficient
  • Prepare quarterly covenant compliance certificate for the banks
  • Act as a specialist on the Group's consolidation software HFM and support users of the system across the Group
  • Work with the business partners and financial controllers across the Group to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company law and the Group's internal control framework
  • Assist with the accounting and integration of acquisitions

Requirements:

  • Qualified or part-qualified financial accountant (ACA, ACCA or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong organisation skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to work through problems independently
  • Proactive, able to identify areas for improvement and come up with new ideas
  • Good business and commercial awareness
  • Excellent people skills, able to create and maintain strong relationships with people from all levels and all areas of the business globally
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge and experience of using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle applications is preferable but not essential
