Despite the current economic climate, this PE-backed business has seen a remarkable upsurge in demand for their high-end product via e-commerce channels. So, they plan to expand internationally as part of their "world domination" business plan.
As a result, they are expanding their finance function by appointing a Financial Controller, based in their modern Harrogate offices. You will be reporting directly into the CFO and managing a small finance team of three members.
Given the fast-paced nature of this business, you will need to be able to 'think on your feet' and become an advocate for change. You will play an integral part in streamlining their financial reporting and developing their ERP system to support business changes and improve ways of working.
To effectively lead the finance function, your "bread and butter" must be core financial reporting such as:
- Production of management and statutory accounts
- VAT, Tax and Duty Submission
- Lead annual audit
- Oversee AP, AR and banking processes
- Balance sheet review, management and analysis
