Are you lacking variety in your current role?

Experienced Finance Manager required to manage the finance function of a busy manufacturing business.

What your day will look like:

  • Monthly payroll for 3 businesses to include

o Processing of weekly time sheets and calculating undertime and overtime adjustments

o Processing monthly payroll and pensions and ensuring submission deadlines are met

o Processing of staff expenses

o Yearend submissions to HMRC and calculation of any P11d benefits

  • Monthly management accounts preparation to include providing variance analysis against budget and prior year
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Daily banking, allocating cash and working with the sales ledger clerk to ensure credit control is dealt with effectively to avoid bad debt
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Regular review of Creditors to ensure payments are made on time and in line with our agreed credit terms
  • Preparing and uploading import loans to our bank
  • Regular review and preparation of cashflow statements to ensure financial obligations of the business can be met
  • Managing the office, contracts, insurance etc
  • Looking after the health and safety of the working environment and dealing with any breaches to ensure we remain compliant.
  • Supporting other members of the finance team to help them develop and grow within their role
  • Reviewing processes on a regular basis to improve and streamline these
  • Reviewing finance/business practices and suggesting cost/time savings for approval by directors
  • Assisting directors with any queries they may have in relation to HR, statutory obligations and deadlines and queries relating to the finances of the business
  • Covering the Sales Ledger Clerk and Purchase Ledger Clerk when they are absent
  • Other duties that are revenant to the role of a Finance Manager not listed above as may from time to time be required to be completed
