Job Description

My client a leading successful organisation based in Seacroft in North Leeds is looking to appoint a Data Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled data analyst to join an entrepreneurial e-commerce business where you can make a real difference working closely within finance & operations. The role is best suited for a candidate looking to take ownership of the timely, accurate & relevant delivery of business reporting. Ability to follow through business transactional/operational journeys through dataflows with attention to detail crucial to identify areas of concern.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Ensure accuracy of financial & operational reporting, this will require working closely with Finance & BI function to identify areas within the business data sets which require reconciliation & cleansing to ensure accuracy of reporting
  • Set up data visualisation reporting structure in line with business processes to deliver business reporting suite in an efficient & easy to follow form
  • Define, design and build business reporting suites using business tools such as Tableau & SSRS
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical output to deliver requested ad-hoc reporting
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to document key business processes to enable stakeholders to make a more informed decision
  • Ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance is applied to all analysis and reporting

Essential criteria:

  • 2+ years of work experience in BI/MI related roles
  • 2+ years of statistical experience
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL (creating and updating queries)
  • 2+ years of data visualisation preferably with Tableau
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Operational Research or similar
  • Advanced Excel essential
  • Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines
  • Experience of working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment with competing deadlines and priorities
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively and own deliverables end to end.
