Job Description

My client based in North Leeds is looking to appoint a Cash Management Administrator on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for all aspect of cash management within the business and assisting the management accountant as necessary with other duties.

Duties will include:

  • Cash management, bank reconciliation
  • Daily bank report
  • Credit card receipt reconciliation
  • Payment of suppliers and staff expenses
  • Processing accounting receivables and incoming payments
  • Preparing bank deposits and shop cash
  • Managing petty cash
  • Intercompany reconciliation
  • Monitors cash transactions to ensure that bank account balances to the report and any unusual items are investigated
  • Forecasts, monitors and tracks cash flow (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.)
  • Prepares cash flow reports and identifies and evaluates variances
  • Accept invoices from suppliers and process in a timely manner
  • Establish payment cycles, taking advantage of preferable terms when applicable
  • Send invoices to manager or department head for approval
  • Process employees' expenses and payments
  • Remit payments, retaining receipts of transactions
  • Reconcile transactions and correct any discrepancies
  • Negotiate service and payment terms
  • Develop relationships with suppliers
  • Find ways to improve payment systems


  • Proven working experience - at least five years as cash management administrator and payable clerk
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and processing transaction through accounting software
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of numeracy accuracy and attention to detail

Remuneration package:
