I am working with a global Education Management organisation in the recruitment of 2x Business Development Managers. One of the positions does require the candidate to be fully proficient in the Dutch language.
The organisation are a highly respected consultancy, operating in all four corners of the globe. The range of clientele that they have include multinational blue chip organisations, FTSE 500 companies and small niche consultancies that operate across a plethora of industries. This company have revenues of $250 million by servicing high end bespoke training content to their range of clientele. The types of solutions they provide include eLearning Development, Learning Technologies, Professional Services as well as consulting.
The role of Business Development Manager is one which requires past experience of cold calling and taking more of a "hunter" approach to sales. This experience is very important but you must also be competant in the development and up-selling of existing accound and developing those relationships further. The positions can have up to 40% Global Travel so you must also be able to travel to this extent if required. Consultancy experience is also imperative as this is the type of sales and service offering you will be providing in this role.
