Job Description

My client, a successful leading organisation based in Harrogate is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. You will be part of a rapidly growing small team.

Duties involve;

  • Processing customer invoices and credit notes
  • Reconciliation and distribution of debtor statements
  • Credit control
  • Processing supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Supplier payment proposals
  • Setting up new supplier and customer accounts
  • Employee expenses processing
  • Daily bank receipt and payment processing
  • Catalogue order processing, quotations and enquiry management
  • Answering office phones and greeting visitors
  • Replenishment of office and stationery supplies
  • Dealing with incoming queries from customers and suppliers
  • Lead generation from website enquiries including distribution to sales team
  • Support the field sales team with general enquiries, information provision and office/stationery supplies
  • Support the Finance Director and cover additional duties when they are on annual leave
  • Any other ad-hoc work and projects as required by the directors.


  • Minimum of 2 years accounts administration experience
  • Possess excellent IT skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of working with Sage Line 50 Accounts or similar

Remuneration package:

  • Salary negotiable (up to £22k) and commensurate with level of relevant experience
  • 40 hours per week
