I am currently working with a leading learning consultancy in the East Midlands as they look to recruit a Sales & Marketing Executive to join their sales team. The successful candidate MUST have previous digital learning sector experience.
My client are leading innovators in the digital learning space, creating engaging bespoke pieces of learning content for clients across a variety of industries. They not only create the courses themselves but provide a leading LMS system to allow clients to have greater accessibility to the content as well as the learners themselves being able to access the content with ease. The organisation stress collaboration between all teams and this role is no different, though a heavy focus is on sales and marketing you will need to be able to collaborate with the wider organisation on bids and certain proposals.
The role itself has a good blend between marketing and sales, adding a lot more depth to your involvement with the organisation and also clients that you'd be working with. To start with there will be a heavier focus on new business and picking up the phones to develop interest and start building new relationships. Confidence to be able to go after leads and develop interest is key in the success of this position.
When speaking with clients you will need to be consultative with your approach to be able to understand the client’s needs and expectations which will help to leverage the overall sale of the LMS and content included. Also, in terms of writing capabilities you do need to be strong in order to communicate effectively with clients and help proposition the products in an insightful and attractive way to the clientele.
