Job Description

1st Line Support Technician

Birmingham

£21,000 pa.

Woodrow Mercer are looking to recruit an experienced 1st Line Technician to work for a long standing and reputable organisation in Birmingham City Centre.

Your main duties consist of the following:

  • Provide 1st Line diagnosis and resolution
  • Maintain a high level of 1st-time fix rates
  • Logging incidents and service requests from customers received via telephone, email and customer portal and process accordingly
  • To provide an excellent customer service and value to end users
  • Prioritisation and management of workload and tasks, working within contractual Service Level Agreements
  • Work in accordance to company policies, procedures and standards
  • Where applicable escalate priority calls, using customer knowledge to achieve success in line with customer expectations and SLAs

Essential:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • You will have an interest in the IT sector
  • Educated to degree level within a relevant IT subject OR some working experience within a 1st Line/Service Desk position
