Job Description

1st Line Service Desk Analyst

Reading

Woodrow Mercer have been engaged to recruit an experienced 1st Line Service Desk Analysts to work for an award winning and reputable organisation in Reading.

This role will be providing 1st line support across all technologies of the managed service portfolio ensuring SLA's are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the timely resolution or escalation of tickets in keeping with ITIL practices
  • Responding to calls and e-mails on the service desk in a timely and effective manner
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permission and access rights
  • Conduct updates of the network asset management register
  • Ensure a proactive approach towards all clients requirements
  • Work effectively with technical service departments when required

Required Experience/Skills

  • Experience with VMware and Microsoft technologies
  • Good general overall understanding of all new technologies
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Experience within a first line support/service capacity
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience of working in a print/document solutions organisation (advantageous)
  • Print solutions experience (advantageous)
